Met Éireann provide weather update for Carlow weather today, with better days to come
The weather forecast updates for Carlow once again do not look good but hope for a better day on Friday.
Met Éireann has said: "Thursday will be another mostly dull day with some further spells of rain. However, drier and brighter spells will develop at times too, especially into the afternoon.
"A mild and humid day with highs of generally 11 to 14 degrees. Breezy across Leinster with fresh southwest winds."
Thursday night's forecast from Met Éireann: "It will bring scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle with low cloud and mist too. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 8 degrees in light to moderate southwest winds, later veering west."
Friday will begin cloudy and damp with patchy outbreaks of rain and drizzle clearing eastwards. Drier and brighter weather will gradually develop with sunny skies developing widely. Highs of 10 to 12 degrees in mostly moderate northwest winds."
Updates from CarlowWeather's Alan O'Reily seem to concur with Met Éireann's prediction
He said: "A wet start for most with some heavy bursts after a wet night and local spot flooding. More heavy showers on Thursday, especially in North and West. Better day Friday as rain clears and a clear cool night Friday night for some with risk of frost."
