WEATHER: 'Heavy rain at times' Carlow daily weather forecast and it doesn't look good

Highest temperatures of 14 to 16 degrees

Met Éireann have provided their daily weather forecast for County Carlow and surrounding areas.

After a dry start to the week it doesn't look to stay that way.

Firstly looking at Met Éireann's forecast for today:

"This morning will be mostly cloudy with patches of mist and drizzle. It will become wet this afternoon and evening, with heavy rain at times. Mild and humid with highest temperatures of 14 to 16 degrees, in a light to moderate southeasterly wind, occasionally fresh and gusty later."

Tonight: 

"Tonight will be cloudy and wet with heavy rain at times and a chance of isolated thunderstorms. There'll be hill and coastal mist and fog too. Mild and humid with lowest temperatures of 13 or 14 degrees, in a light to moderate southeasterly wind, occasionally fresh and gusty early in the night."

Tomorrow:

"Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy with scattered outbreaks of rain. Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees with light to moderate southerly winds."

Wednesday Night: 

"Any remaining cloud and rain will clear from the northeast early on Wednesday night and the rest of the night will be dry in most areas with clear spells and patches of mist and fog. However, there'll be showers in some western and southern areas, some heavy. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees in light to moderate southerly breezes."
