Carlow sunsets just after 7pm by end of month with four minutes of daylight to be lost each day
The stretch in the evenings is disappearing
"We lose about 4 minutes of daylight each day..."
Sunset on Sunday was 20:14 in Carlow and by the end of the month it will be 19:07, according to www.carlowweather.com.
Alan O'Reilly said: "So we lose an hour of evening light within a month and we lose about 4 minutes of daylight each day!
"Talk of an Indian Summer seems to have jinxed the weather with cooler unsettled coming from Thursday too!
"However the good news is we have a few nice days ahead with high pressure in place up until Wednesday.
"So dry and settled tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday with temps of 17c - 19c not too breezy with good sunny spells but cool nights.
"From Thursday it looks cooler by day with temps struggling to get above 15c and some light rain."
