Weather models showing a big cool down across northern Europe towards the end of the month, according to www.carlowweather.com.
Forecaster Alan O'Reilly said: "This trend has been shown on and off for a while on the charts, will be interesting to see how it turns out.
"Cold Wednesday night with a risk of frost and fog as temps drop to 0C or even a little below.
"Thursday looks a nice cool day with sunny spells and near calm conditions. Frost and fog again Thursday night.
"Friday also looks nice and dry and a little milder up to 15C in Southwest breeze.
"The weekend still looks milder, up to 17C and mainly dry with just a chance of some showers Saturday night."
