Cold weather ahead
Tuesday will be cloudy with some spells of rain in Eastern areas moving further inland later in the day and it will be another cool day with a strong bitterly cold Northeast wind, according to www.carlowweather.com.
Forecaster Alan O'Reilly said: "Wednesday will be the coldest day of the week with temperatures struggling to get above 6C but winds easing a little. Showers again but mainly light.
"Wednesday night will see a risk of frost and icy patches.
"Thursday still cool and showery still in Northeast wind.
"Friday and weekend still cool and showery but temperatures back up a little to around 9C in cool Easterly breeze."
