It looks like Wednesday and Thursday will be cool days with lighter winds and just the odd shower, according to www.carlowweather.com.
Forecaster Alan O'Reilly said: "Friday sees a risk of more rain but latest charts show more settled cool weather possibly for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, little far out yet though so stay tuned."
