Met Éireann's long range forecast predicts some "widespread frost" for Carlow.
Cloud will break on Monday morning and skies will brighten. Showers will develop and become widespread and heavy in the afternoon.
Highs of only 6 to 8 degrees and westerly winds will freshen. Windy and cold overnight with isolated showers and lows of 1 to 5 degrees.
On Tuesday it will be windy and showery. Highs of 8 to 10 degrees in gusty westerly winds. Becoming clear overnight with widespread frost.
Wednesday meanwhile will see a bright day with just isolated showers and good sunshine. Highs of 8 to 10 degrees in light northerly breezes. Cold and frosty overnight.
While Thursday will have a dry start to the day but becoming wet and windy later.
