'A lovely morning...but heavy and possibly thundery showers' Carlow weather man provides update

Carlow Weather man and Met Éireann provide their weather forecast for Carlow Town and surrounding areas for the day.

Carlow Weather on X: "Sun rising over some patches of fog as the @blacknight

webcam over Carlow Town shows but lovely clear blue skies here near Tullow. A lovely morning once fog clears but heavy and possibly thundery showers developing this afternoon and evening. Especially in Southeast this evening."

The national look: "Rainfall amounts will vary a LOT locally over next 24 hours with some models keeping the heaviest rain just off the Southeast coast but others have it hitting the Southeast. Also thundery downpours will but very hit and miss. Over 10mm very possible for parts though."

Met Éireann's prediction for the day: "Sunny spells this morning, showers will develop by lunchtime turning heavy this afternoon with thunderstorms developing bringing the likelihood of spot flooding. There's a chance of sea fog encroaching onto coasts at times. Highest temperatures 18 to 21 degrees in light northerly or variable breezes."

This evening: "Rain and drizzle tonight, it will be drier with clear spells in the north of the province. Lowest temperatures 10 to 13 degrees in moderate northerly winds." 

Not the best look at the weather for the day but hopefully we get it out of the day for the weekend!
