Carlow forecast over the weekend and early next week predicts some 'bright spells'

Saturday looks a mainly good day with some sunny spells and very little if any showers in light winds and around 10C, according to www.carlowweather.com. 

Forecaster Alan O'Reilly said: "More rain though will arrive Saturday night with showers on Sunday but mild up to 12C.

"Christmas Eve looks a little showery but also some bright spells, around 9C in light winds.

"Still some uncertainty for Christmas Day, current data shows a cloudy but mainly dry day and up to 10C."
