Met Éireann have provided their weather forecast for the next few days for County Carlow and surrounding areas.

With the day looking good but bad weather looms around the corner.

Firstly looking at today's forecast by Met Éireann:

"Dry for a time today across the South and East with sunny spells. However, scattered showers will push in from the Atlantic some heavy across the West and North. The showers will become confined to northern areas later this afternoon with good sunny spells developing again more widely. Highest temperatures 13 to 16 degrees with moderate westerly winds developing. Very high spring tides will bring a possibility of coastal flooding."

Tonight:

"Tonight will be largely dry and clear early on, before cloud and scattered falls of drizzle feed in across the country later. Becoming breezy too, in a freshening southerly wind. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees."

Tomorrow:

"Friday will be a dull and rather windy day with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, heaviest across the western half of the country with some sharp thundery falls likely bringing spot flooding. A clearance to sunny spells and isolated showers will follow into the West and Southwest later in the afternoon, as the heaviest of the rain arrives into eastern half of the country. Very high spring tides will bring the ongoing potential for coastal flooding. Highest temperatures of 14 to 16 degrees, in a fresh to strong southerly wind."
