Met Éireann have provided their daily weather forecast for County Carlow and surrounding areas.
With a cold a frosty start to the day the day looks to brighten up, not warm up but looks at least to be dry but still quite cold.
Firstly looking at today by Met Éireann:
"A cold and frosty start with areas of fog slowly clearing to leave a mostly dry day with spells of sunshine. However, a few showers may occur early on near the east coast. Highs of just 4 to 7 degrees, but colder where any fog lingers through the day. Breezes light northerly or variable in direction."
Tonight:
"Cold overnight with widespread frost and some icy patches. Fog is likely to form extensively, turning dense in some areas. Lowest temperatures of -3 to zero degrees generally but turning less cold towards Thursday morning with frost clearing from many areas."
Tomorrow:
"There'll be some hazy sunshine to start the day on Thursday but patchy rain and drizzle will move in during the afternoon and evening. Highest afternoon temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees with fresh and gusty southeast winds."
Thursday Night:
"Breezy on Thursday night with outbreaks of rain and drizzle across the western half of the country with some heavy falls. It looks set to stay largely dry further east apart from the odd spot of rain or drizzle. A mild night with lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in fresh and gusty southerly winds."
