Carlow Summer Walking Festival 7th - 9th July
Jack Byrne from Carlow Mental Health Association will lead two mindfulness walks this weekend as part of Carlow's Summer Walking Festival.
The aim of mindfulness is for our mind and body to live in the present. Throughout the weekend, Jack will give practical tips on how to practice mindfulness and have a positive mental attitude while taking in the beautiful surroundings of Carlow.
Mindfulness practitioner, Jack Byrne has had a life-long involvement in philosophy, mindfulness & personal development.
On Saturday 8th July, he will lead the group on a mindfulness walk through Altamont Gardens, the perfect setting to re-connect with nature.
On Sunday 9th July, Jack will lead another mindfulness walk through Clogrennane Woods which hosts spectacular views of Carlow and the River Barrow.
Tickets for these walks are priced at €10 per person and the walk lasts approximately 1.5hrs, covering a distance of 3.5km.
Included in the walks are experienced local guides and soup, sandwiches, tea and coffee after your walk.
Carlow's Summer Walking Festival boasts a choice of walks for both beginners and experienced walkers throughout the weekend Friday 7th to Sunday 9th July.
