Carlow Garden Festival returns at the end of the month for its 23rd year with wonderful garden displays, expert advice, workshops and food events all in store for festival goers.

The hugely popular festival will run from Saturday, 26 July to Sunday, 3 August and will be hosted by the beautiful gardens and stately homes in the county.

The nine-day programme will be filled with talks, guided tours, garden visits, workshops and culinary experiences. To top it all off, the fascinating demonstrations and talks will be delivered by some very special guests in the gardening world, including Adam Frost of BBC Gardeners World as well as Irish rugby International and passionate gardener Peter O'Mahony.

The Carlow Garden Festival, which is organised by Carlow Garden Trail, is one of Ireland's premier gardening events and this year there will be 19 experts on hand to deliver sage advice to all levels of gardeners attending the festival. Whether you're a budding gardener or a seasoned professional, all are welcome.

In a welcome addition to this year's festival, there will now be a dedicated shuttle bus service connecting all garden festival venues across Carlow from five central locations in Carlow Town such as the train stations, the Seven Oaks Hotel, Talbot Hotel, Woodford Dolmen Hotel and Carlow Bus.

With this introduction of the shuttle bus, festival goers are encouraged to leave the car behind and support the festival's commitment to sustainability. It also makes it much easier to access the multiple locations of the events.

Commenting on this year's festival, Chairperson of Carlow Tourism Michael Walsh said: "The Carlow Garden Festival is an enriching mix of expert insight, seasonal food and natural beauty. It offers something for all gardeners and nature lovers and reflects Carlow’s leadership in both horticultural excellence and responsible tourism.

"With gardens in full bloom and the majority of gardening work completed, the festival is the ideal time to pause, relax and take inspiration from some of the finest horticultural experts, and make plans for the months and year ahead."
