Rohingya Remembrance Day in Carlow

An International Rohingya Remembrance Day will take place this Saturday, August 25 at 2pm in Carlow College.

The family-friendly day - organised by Rohingya Action Ireland - will commemorate members of the Rohingya community who were killed, attacked and displaced on August 25 last year in Myanmar. 

It will be a day of celebration to acknowledge Rohingya ethnicity and share stories, memories and solidarity with the Rohingya people. 

Food and snacks will be served, including Rohingyan cuisine, arts and crafts, face painting, music and dance.

VISUAL will screen a documentary, while a photographic exhibition will also be on display.
