The Rooster Festival is new to the event calendar
The first ever Carlow Rooster Festival will take place from October 5-7.
The Rooster Festival is new to the event calendar and is being designed to celebrate the Rooster Potato and its proud links to Carlow over the past 40 years since it was developed at Teagasc in Oak Park.
The festival will deliver a range of events and activities, predominantly held in Oak Park, but also linked to events held in the centre of Carlow and will include a potato food trial, a spub crawl, barndance and a family fun day, are just some of the highlights.
