The autumn term of the Afterschool Irish Classes for post primary students will begin next week.

Organised by Glór Cheatharlach, the weekly class will take place after school on Tuesdays, commencing 25 September from 4.30-5.30pm in the New Oak Community Centre.

Students from all post primary schools are welcome and the €30 fee covers the full term until Christmas.

Classes will be led by a qualified experienced Irish teacher who will facilitate the students as they brush up on their oral skills and grammar, touching on a wide range of topics as well as concentrating on the picture series in preparation for their examinations.

With increasing emphasis on conversation and 40% of the total marks going to the oral Irish test, students will welcome any opportunity to converse ‘as Gaeilge’ and to improve their language skills in an informal outside of school environment.

Places are limited so early booking is essential as these classes are extremely popular.

Depending on demand a second class may be offered. Full details and registration with Glór Cheatharlach on 085 1340047, 087 2857048 or email emma@glorcheatharalch.ie
