A fun fact for Carlow
In the Cretaceous period, around 142-65 million years ago, all of what was to be Ireland was under the sea, apart from Carlow.
The fun fact was posted by Dr Jennifer Cassidy, a Politics Lecturer the University of Oxford.
In her post on Twitter, she said: "Go on Carlow. Flying the flag, when we couldn’t. For obvious reasons."
