Oisin Moran made a video to beg his bullies to stop being so mean after years of torment

A 12-year-old boy has made a heart breaking video which has been shared on social media to speak out to his bullies in school.

Oisin Moran from Carlow is a young boy with autism who is experiencing bullying the last couple of years.

“People are always mean to me,” Oisin said in the video which was posted to social media. “They bully me all the time and say really mean things to me”.

Oisin said in the video that this happens to him quite regularly and he has difficulty dealing with this. He said it often times makes him “bang my head really hard”.

He explained in the video that the boys who bully him would go from being his friends to then not being his friend and so forth.

“Bullying is not nice and it makes me really sad. But just because you are having a bad feeling in your life doesn’t mean you get to be mean to people just to make you feel good.

“It’s not nice so always be nice to people please. Even if it is minor bullying it still needs to stop. I was crying my eyes out because of it”.

Oisin said in the video “I’m only autistic like my brain works differently so please stop all of this bullying. Thank you very much”.

The young boys mother Louise Moran from Carlow and founder of Autism Heroes explained to Brian on The KCLR Daily the reason for posting the video.

She said that the bullying has been going on for a while. “Because he’s autistic his brain works completely differently so what actually happened was stuff was going on and he was coming home but not telling us what happened.

“It would go around and around his brain. Kids can be kids at the end of the day and absolutely some of it was not intentional but some was very very intentional”.

Louise said on KCLR Daily, “It was physical multiple times for Oisin and it’s not just in school, it’s at home where we live, it’s at training”.

Louise pointed out one incident in particular that happened a couple of years ago.

She said that somebody told Oisin they had a secret they wanted to whisper to him and then they slapped him across the face.

“They were filming him and telling him to say inappropriate words and then they threaten to show it to the gardai. He is still trying to get over those incidents”.
