WATCH: Carlow Rose promises big surprise for next week's Rose of Tralee competition

Tullows Katie Ryan prepares to head to Tralee , with a couple tricks up her sleeves for her on stage part piece.

The excitement is palpable as the 2025 International Rose of Tralee Festival fast approaches, with just a couple of sleeps to go until the official opening ceremony on Friday.

Journalist Aisling Magner spoke to the Carlow Rose Katie Rya at the tour's Limerick stop ahead of the RTÉ broadcast. 

Katie is a 26 year old Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator from Tullow.

The Rose of Tralee international festival is a celebration of Irish heritage, friendship, and pride that continues to capture hearts around the island of Ireland and the world. 

The Rose of Tralee will be available to watch for free, live and on-demand by audiences in Ireland and around the world on RTÉ Player. Features, archive footage, behind-the-scenes content and more will also be available across RTÉ.ie and RTÉ social media platforms over the coming days.
