Sean Kelly is the first to be elected for the Ireland South constituency in the 2024 European Parliament elections.
The Fine Gael man retains his seat after two long days of vote counting here at Nemo Rangers GAA Club in Cork.
With a quota to pass of 114,761, Mr Kelly re-won his seat in Brussels with a total of 122,777 votes.
The count has now been suspended and will resume Tuesday morning, June 11 at 9am.
