A student of the Carlow based Spotlight Stage School and Productions has penned a powerful song on bullying called: "You Won't Stop Me".
Ruby O'Kelly, 13, is living in Cavan and is a student of Spotlight in their Navan sister school but also has huge connections and friends in Carlow.
The song was released last Thursday night and has been viewed by people as far away as Miami.
Her mother, Sharon, said: "Ruby wrote the song because she saw first hand what bullying did to her and her friends. She felt that if she put it to lyrics it would make others be brave enough to get help.
"And it would be a message to the bully to stop hurting people."
"Ruby performs with those kids from Carlow in the Olympia Panto as she is a cast member," Sharon added.
In her post on video, Ruby said: "At twelve years of age I had witnessed so much bullying, so many girls and boys my age struggling with their own mental health, struggling with every day life, things that should be simple and enjoyable like going to school.
"One night I began to write these lyrics, then I added the music and created my first ever song. I'm so proud of it but also proud of the important message in it. You never know what someone is going through, be kind always."
