Dublin Fire Brigade have said they are making “good progress” responding to a large fire blazing this evening in an industrial estate in north Dublin, but revealed that some structures have collapsed.
The fire is still currently blazing at an industrial premises in the Clonshaugh area of Dublin 17 near Coolock.
Dublin Fire Brigade previously shared that six fire engines were at the scene, and this has now been reduced to four as the fire shrinks.
It earlier described the fire as being located off of Coolock’s Oscar Traynor Road, which puts it in the Clonshaugh area.
“Dublin Fire Brigade currently have primacy at the scene. Gardaí are assisting with traffic management at this time,” a garda statement said earlier this evening.
Photos were widely shared online of views of the large plume of smoke from Dublin city centre to the Airport, with Dublin Airport saying that they are monitoring the situation.
