Dr Sharon Alston, the passionate vet-turned-music promoter, continues to create memorable experiences with her unique blend of charity work and 80s nostalgia. Her mission to help owners of seriously ill pets afford crucial medical procedures found an ally in her love for 80s music, birthing the creation of Ireland’s first-ever ‘Forever Young Festival’ in 2019.
The festival doubles as a fun-filled weekend and a significant fundraising event for her charity, Animal Welfare & Veterinary Care Ireland.
Since its inception, Forever Young Festival has been a resounding success, drawing in fans of 80s music from all corners of Ireland for a trip down memory lane. Not only does the festival serve as a fantastic reunion of original 80s artists, but it also aids in making a real difference in the lives of pets and their owners across the country.
Now heading into its third year, 2023’s Forever Young Festival promises an exciting line-up and a vibrantly retro weekend filled with neon nostalgia. The festival is set to take place from July 14 to 16 at the enchanting Palmerstown House Estate, Co. Kildare.
This year's line-up includes a fantastic roster of over 35 international stars, destined to make their way to Kildare this July. Headlining the opening night will be the legendary Squeeze, while Erasure's Andy Bell is set to steal the spotlight on Saturday. Bananarama will bring the festival to a grand close on Sunday.
