New event starting for kids with Autism in Carlow

The evenings will be held on the first Thursday of every month
The Dome Family Entertainment Centre are running a series of Autism-Friendly evenings at their Congo Quest fun-room and they're starting this Thursday.
The Dome at Talbot Carlow has a huge children's play-frame as well as bowling lanes, and there is a café so the parents can take a breather while their kids play.
The venue is now introducing regular Autism evenings that will be organised specifically to cater to children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
The staff at The Dome will receive training and and educational support from a Carlow Autism Spectrum group representative and the centre will be decked out to suit its visitors.
Lights will be dimmed, loud games with flashing lights will be turned off and there will be loads of soft, colourful furnishings.
The first Congo Quest Evening is being held this Thursday, August 2.
The evening will take pace from 6 to 7 pm and can accommodate up to 150 people. The event will cost €5 per child.
The café in The Dome will be open for parents to relax and grab a coffee, and meal deals will also be available there in case anyone starts to get hungry.
The events will be held monthly and you can read more about it on their Facebook page.
