RIP: Tributes paid to Carlow man who was a 'gentle soul' following his passing
Niall Dunne - Pollerton Little, Castledermot Road - Carlow - Tuesday 3rd June 2025
Tributes have been paid following the passing of Niall Dunne of Pollerton Little, Castledermot Road, Carlow and previously of Balbriggan Walkinstown, Dublin.
Niall passed away on June 3rd, 2025, at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny.
Beloved husband of Alison, much loved father of Nicola, Sarah and Ciaran and step-father of Saoirse and adored grandfather of Laura and Lily.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, step-daughter, grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, brothers Martin and Liam, sister Deirdre, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephew, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.
Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows:
"Sincere sympathy to Nicola and the entire Dunne family on the sad passing of Niall. May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace."
Another reads:
"My heartfelt condolences to you Sarah, Laura and Lily and the extended Dunne family on the sad loss of your Dad and Grandad. Wishing you comfort and strength in the days ahead. I will keep you all in my thoughts. May Niall rest in peace."
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq (Eircode R93 C863) on Sunday (June 8th) from 4pm, concluding with Prayers at 7.30pm that evening. Removal from there on Monday at 10.30am to St. Marys Church, Bennekerry, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
