Decision close for new retail shop on one of Carlow Town's busiest streets

Carlow County Council are close to making a decision on a planning application for new retail premises unit in vacant sports retail unit to be used as a deli and a grocery retail premises on Tullow Street in Carlow Town.

The proposed development is hoping to take place at number 146 of Tullow Street.

The planning permission was received by the Carlow County Council on the 15th of April 2025, with a date for the Carlow County Council set to be made on the 11th of June 2025.

The details of the new planning application read as follows:

The change of use of an existing building last used as a Sports Retail unit to use as a Deli and a Grocery/Retail premises to ground floor.

Alterations to existing first floor living accommodation, and alterations to front elevation to include new entrance door to access upper floors, new signage, and all associated site works

Once the decision has been made by the Carlow County Council on the planning application they can be found on Carlow Live.
