Tributes paid to Carlow man who was a 'gentleman and a lovely person' following his passing

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Pat O’Connor of Dublin Road, Tullow, Carlow.

Pat passed away peacefully at home, after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family on the16th April 2025.

Predeceased by his sisters Mary and Bridgie. Sadly missed by his loving wife Ailish and children Anne, Fiona, James, Patrick, Kevin and Mark, daughters-in-law Aoife and Malisa, son-in-law Tom and Mark’s partner Shauna, sister Peg, his 13 grandchildren, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Deepest and most sincere condolences to all of Pats family. He was a gentleman and a lovely person always. He will be deeply missed. Rest in Peace Pat."

Another reads:

"Sincere condolences to Eilish & family on Pat's passing.. all the wonderful memories of his music over the years. May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace"

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at Halligan’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street, Tullow (Eircode R93 TX99) on Thursday evening from 5pm concluding at 8pm. Funeral Home private thereafter please.

Funeral arriving to The Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Tullow on Good Friday for 11am Service after which he will be laid to rest in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Tullow.
