Tributes paid to Carlow man who will be remembered as a 'good and lovely man'

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Gordon Kirtley of Grange Court, Pollerton and formerly of John Sweeney Park, Tullow Rd Carlow and Aberdeen, Scotland.
Gordon passed away at his home on the 23rd of January 2025.
Beloved partner of Gwyn and much loved stepfather of Richard, Eugene, James and Gerard.
He will be sadly missed by his loving partner, stepsons, godson Darragh, relatives, and friends.
Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows:
"So sorry for your loss Gwyn and Family. May Gordon Rest in Peace. Thinking of you all at this sad time. From Michael and all the team at Castleinch Venue Sunday Market."
Another reads:
"My deepest sympathy to Gwyn and her son Jame's and his son Darragh, on the lost of his step father and a Godfather. Gordon was good and lovely man, that will never be forgotten for a long time.. my his gentle soul Rest in Peace."
Funeral arrangements
Reposing in Byrne's Funeral Parlour, The Square, Tullow (eircode R93 P4F4) on Sunday, 26th January from 3pm until 6pm.
Reposing in Carpenter’s Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq., Carlow (Eircode R93 C863) from 5pm on Monday, January 27th, concluding at 7pm that evening. A Service will be held in Carpenter Bros Funeral Home on Tuesday at 12 Noon and will be followed by burial in Sleaty New Cemetery.
