Tributes paid to Carlow woman whose 'happiness and fun shone through' following her passing

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Helga Dowling (née Burmeister) of The Birch, Delacy Abbey, Rathvilly, Carlow.
Helga passed away peacefully surrounded her loving family at The District Hospital Carlow after a long illness bravely borne on Sunday the 9th of February 2025.
Predeceased by her parents Neville and Elizabeth and brother Conrad. Sadly missed by her loving husband Ned, sons Ferdinand and Adriaan, daughter-in-law Julia, sister Lorinde, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows:
"Deepest sympathy to Ned,Ferdinand,Adriaan & Family on the passing of lovely Helga. Helga’s good nature and laughter will be in our memories forever. Her happiness and fun shone through no matter what the circumstances were and made us all feel the better for knowing her.

Another reads:
"Our deepest sympathy to Ned and to Helga's children & family on her passing. Thinking of you Ned at this very sad time, may her soul Rest in Peace Amen."
Funeral arrangements
Reposing at Halligan’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Rathvilly (Eircode R93 C560) on Tuesday evening, 11th February from 5pm concluding at 7.30pm. Funeral Home private thereafter please.
A private cremation will take place in accordance with Helga’s wishes.
No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to The District Hospital Carlow.
