Volunteers came out to help local man, Eugene Walsh, who does phenomonal voluntary work in keeping Carlow and its rivers clean.
The planting came about after a call-out on social media on the Facebook page, It's All About Carlow, and the idea of "Eugene's Army" was created several months ago to "highlight the amount of rubbish being dumped on our back door and to help Eugene".
