Carlow Gardaí are investigating the theft and subsequent burning out of a car from Mount Leinster Park in Carlow.

The car in question is a silver 162D registered Toyota Aqua at 2:05am on Wednesday morning the 8th of May 2024.

A number of youths were observed interfering with the car at that time. The car was then driven around the area in a dangerous manner before Gardaí found it ablaze a short time later at 2:30am in waste ground adjacent to Cherrymount Drive, between Riverview Close and John Sweeny Park.

Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with access to CCTV or dashcam footage to contact them on 059 913 6620.
