Busy Carlow road to temporarily close for over a month to facilitate water works

A road in Co. Carlow will be temporarily closed for over a month from April for essential water works to take place.

Carlow County Council made the announcement on Wednesday via Facebook.

The R726 between its junctions from the L6113 and the R418 Killerig Cross will be closed between 7pm and 6am from April 6th to May 29th.

Traffic will move as normal between 6am and 7pm, but traffic lights will be in place and may cause delays.

Diversions and alternative roads will be signposted with a map available to view on the Carlow County Council website under 'Statutory Notices.'
