Kilkenny/Carlow Garda Youth Awards 2024

The Kilkenny Carlow Garda Youth Awards 2024 were held in in Carlow's Woodford Dolmen last night.

Speaking of the awards Netwatch Brand Ambassador, Mick Galwey said

“Netwatch is delighted to continue to support the Kilkenny/Carlow Garda Youth Awards. We have outstanding young people in our counties, all doing their communities proud. Throughout this pandemic we are hearing great stories of how these young people are contributing to their localities in such a positive way. It is so important to provide the opportunity to highlight some of these stories through these awards."

The winners of the Garda Youth Awards 2024 are as follows (From: An Garda Siochána Carlow Facebook) :

"Incredible winners last night at the 2024 Garda Youth Awards for Kilkenny/Carlow at the Woodford Dolmen Hotel.
Huge congratulations to the overall individual winner Franek Dobronski
Group Award - Comhairle na nÓg.
Special Achievement Award - Amber Ní Ruairc Gaelcholáiste Cheatharlach.
Community Safety Award - Young Social Innovators: Alarm on the Farm St Leo's College Carlow.
Thomastown District Award - Sarah O’Mahoney, Tiernan Shefflin, Erin Walsh, Tommy Walsh.
Kilkenny Area Award - Maria Cezara Focsa.
Carlow Area Award

(B) Peace and Justice Advocacy Group, St. Mary's Academy CBS Carlow.
Well done to Inspector Conor Nolan and his brilliant team of organisers and helpers: Superintendent Anthony Farrell, Sergeant Conor Egan, Inspector Alma Molloy, Inspector Ralph Holmes, Garda Essmay Murphy, Garda Janet Gough, Garda John Byrne and Garda Aidan Fitzpatrick.
