Criminal damage incident in Lough Boora being investigated by gardai

A man in his 40's was the third man arrested in relation to a €1.25 million drug bust in County Kildare that on the 27th of June 2024. The drug bust is in relation to a large amount of cannabis that was seized by Gardaí during the investigation.

The man in his 20’s arrested on Thursday 27th June as part of this investigation has been charged and is due to appear before Naas District Court this afternoon, Saturday 29th June 2024, at approximately 4.30pm.

The man in his 30’s arrested on Thursday 27th June as part of this investigation has been released without charge pending a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

A third man in his 40’s was arrested in connection with this investigation by Gardaí in Carlow yesterday evening, Friday 28th June 2024, and is detained pursuant to Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at a Garda Station in the Co. Carlow area.

Investigations are ongoing.

Update:

The third man (aged in his 40’s), arrested on in connection with this investigation on Friday 28th June 2024, was released without charge yesterday, Sunday 30th June 2024, pending a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions
