Two County Carlow Schools to benefit from almost €100,000 CLÁR funding

The funding will be used for sport and exercise facilities in the local schools

Two local Carlow schools are recipients of huge funding as part of the CLÁR programme and will receive €89,538 and will be used for sport and exercise facilities.

The two local schools in question are Scoil Moling Glynn and St Patricks National School Ballymurphy in County Carlow.

The details of the works that are due to take place at the Schools are as follows:

Scoil Moling Glynn - Installation of Astro Turf pitch on the school grounds - €45,000

St Patricks NS Ballymurphy - All weathered walking/running track with distance markings - €44,538

More information on CLÁR funding:

Local authorities may provide financial support to community and voluntary groups and local development companies for small infrastructural projects in eligible disadvantaged rural areas. These projects must support schools, community safety measures, the development of play and multi use game areas, and community wellbeing projects.
