Carlow Councillor shares how to report faulty street lights in your local area

Following a spate of faulty street lights popping up all around Carlow, Carlow Councillor Will Paton has shared exactly how you should be reporting these faults to get the street lights fixed in your local area.

The Councillor shared the information on his social media account citing that the authority has up to 10 working days to get the fault fixed.

The Councillor wrote on their social media account saying:

"Reporting a fault street light is easier now than before. Just use the following steps:
1 - log onto www.carlow.ie
2 - click the box entitled "Public Lighting Fault Reporting" under the Roads and Transport section (marked in red in the photo below)
3 - click the box entitled "Report a Street Light Fault"
4 - in the search box enter the street and town where the faulty light is located
5 - click on the blue street light at the location and complete the information box
6 - finally click on the green correct tag "log fault"

That's it the fault is reported to the appropriate authority. Remember the authority has up to 10 working days to get the fault fixed."
