Carlow County Council has been shortlisted in five categories in the Local Authority Member's Association All Ireland Community and Council Awards (LAMA) 2025.
The awards are due to take place on the 22nd of February 2025 in Cork.

-Best Community Wellbeing Project - Carlow Farming Wellbeing
-Best Mental Health – Wednesday Wanderers
-Best Environmental /Ecological Initiatives– Carlow County Fire
-Service-Driving Eco Friendly Innovation and Nature Based Solutions Carlow Town -Urban Raingardens
- Most Inclusive Project -Powerhouse Women in Business Networks Carlow
The LAMA awards are a benchmark for excellence and annually celebrate and recognise the good work local authorities are doing to enhance their county. The awards are sponsored by IPB Insurance.
Cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council Cllr Fergal Browne stated “I would like to congratulate all involved in these projects which demonstrate the high quality of delivery and innovation by the staff of Carlow County Council and wish them every success on the 22nd February.”"
