Independent Carlow Councillor reminds Fianna Fáil Councillors to congratulate new Minister

At the most recent meeting of the Carlow County Council, the absence of congratulations for the new Minister of State at the Department of Health, Jennifer Murnane O'Connor was noticed by Independent Councillor Will Paton.

He seemingly had to remind the Fianna Fáil Councillors at the back of end of the Council meeting, prodding with the question, "Do you not approve?"

He congratulated the new Minister, after saying that they had had their differences over the years, he felt as though her hard work and tenacity earned her the position.

Not long after, Fianna Fáil Councillor, Andrea Dalton assured everyone that they had not forgotten, that they were instead leaving "the best news for last" and stated that the appointment of the new Minister was a "very proud moment" and was due to her "hard work".
