Gardaí in Carlow are investigating multiple incidents of criminal damages that has taken place in John Sweeney Park and The Laurels at the end of last month.

Multiple vehicles have been damaged in the aforementioned estate and the incidents took place on the 27th of March 2025.

The first of the incidents took place at 11pm at a property in John Sweeney Park, when three males wielding implements, believed to be bars and hatches, entered the front of yard of the property, and proceeded to cause significant damage to a vehicle therein.

At the same time, approx. 11pm, a car was maliciously set alight in the Laurels Estate and completely destroyed.

Gardaí in Carlow are connecting both of the two incidents.

Gardai in Carlow are appealing for any witnesses, CCTV, dashcam etc to be made available to them to contact them on 059 9136620. Any information will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
