Carlow County Council have received a planning application for a number of works to take place at a Carlow Town Funeral Home.
The location of the funeral home is at number 22 Barrack Street in Carlow Town.

The planning application was submitted to the Carlow County Council on the 22nd of April 2025, with a planning decision due by the Council on the 16th of June 2025.
The details of the planning application read as follows:
Proposed demolition of existing front façade of no.22 Barrack Street.
Demolition of existing shop front of former Funeral Home and replacement with new shop front.
Provision of 2-storey mixed use development comprising ground floor retail unit and first floor 1-bed apartment, and ancillary bin and bike storage.
