A 1920s Dublin terrace home owned by father and son duo, Eugene and Alex, has been chosen for the Home of the Year final.

The judges - Hugh Wallace, Amanda Bone and Sara Cosgrove - loved the modern and detail-oriented interior of the renovated home, which was featured in episode seven of the hit show alongside a 300 year old Wicklow and an eclectic self-build in Louth.

Judges praised the size of the upstairs bathroom, the tiles in the downstairs powder room, and the layout of the large kitchen overlooking a small courtyard in the extension.

Many social media users also loved the home, with one X user describing it as "utterly gorgeous".

Another X user stated, "Love, love house number two" while another commented, "Fantastic home."
