As the hugely popular, RTÉ's Home of the Year, return to our screens on Tuesday evening, social media has reacted to the first episode of the new series, as Tipperary couple Claire and Seán Fox's home was the first home to enter the final of the series.

The show now enters its 11th series and will feature homes all across the country in the likes of Carlow, Cork, Derry, Donegal, Dublin, Galway, Kildare, Limerick, Tipperary, Waterford, and Wicklow.

Episode 1 featured three uniquely styled homes, with the renovated shop in Tipperary taking the win, the show also featured a single storey Victorian Terrace home in Dublin, and finally a 180 year old manor home in County Cork.

As the Tipperary home owned by Claire and Seán Fox won the episode social media exploded with comments and seemingly loved the renovated shop.

Users on social media wrote about the winner saying:

"Fabulous home"

Another writes:

"Loved the show and this was definitely a worthy winner tonight - a fantastic restoration"

A third user writes:

"Congratulations, beautifully done, loved the nod to the previous owners retaining items from the shop, best wishes for the final."

Some user on social media weren't in total agreeance with the decision all the same:

"Number 2 should have been picked very disappointing"

Another writes:

"I taught amanda was very harsh on house 3."

Of course there is never going to be a consensus on the winner as all the homes were beautiful.

The show airs on Tuesday nights at 8.30pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player. Definitely a favourite every week as the programme airs for the next 8 weeks.
