And, true to tradition, there's still a "secret surprise" promised.

“Any rumours relating to secret gigs on the Salty Dog are true-ish," teased the stage's notorious 'Captain'.

The Salty Dog, a shipwrecked trawler buried in the woods of Stradbally Estate, has become one of the festival's best-loved late-night haunts, promising raucous singalongs, surprise appearances and plenty of chaos.

Electric Picnic runs next weekend, from Friday August 29 to Sunday August 31, in Stradbally, Co Laois.
