Carlow artists chosen to represent Ireland in Las Vegas but they need help

A group of 29 elite performing artists from KNC Performing Arts Company have been officially selected to represent Ireland at the 2026 World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in Vegas, this coming July.

Often referred to as the "Talent Olympics," WCOPA is the only international competition of its kind, attracting performers from over 70 countries to compete in front of Hollywood’s top agents, managers, and scouts. The young ensemble, aged 8-19 and including youngsters from Carlow, will participate in a grueling ten-day programme of world-class masterclasses and high-stakes showcases.

"Being selected to bring 29 performers to a global stage is a testament to the incredible artistic talent thriving in our community," says Katie Conlan, Director of KNC.

"This isn't just about medals; it’s about opening international doors for these young artists and showing the world the high standard of Irish performance."

To ensure all 29 performers can make the journey, the group has launched a "Road to Vegas" fundraising campaign with a target of €60,000. The funds will cover essential travel, professional coaching, and the international registration fees required to compete.
