Popular Italian restaurant, Caffé 500, located on Kennedy Street in Carlow Town, was left ransacked overnight by what the restaurant called on social media "visitors".
Obviously the statement was in jest as behind the front desk of the restaurant, in the image they shared, had the till on the ground and a clear sign of some kind of break in at the restaurant.

The restaurant posted the image to their Facebook page with the caption:
"We 'll be closed today... we had visitors last night"
Comments under the post are outraged, as Caffé 500 remains one of Carlow's favourite restaurants:
"Absolutely shocking .. I hope they get caught and also have to pay for everything including your take for this evening.
Shame on them."
Another reads:
"So sorry to see this guys!! What a disgrace"
A third user also writes:
"Disgraceful and their the nicest bunch of people to serve you surely to god they’d be on camera place is lovely food is lovely and service is one hundred and ten percent."
