Do you think they would work?

Calls have been made for the local authority to follow through on "night patrols" to tackle dog fouling issues in Carlow Town.

Cllr Fergal Browne raised the issue again at this month's meeting of Carlow County Council and said dog fouling continues to be a "huge issue" and called on the executive to "follow through on night patrols".

Senior Engineer at the Council, Brian O'Donovan, previously told members that a €150 fine is "good value for money" for people who engage in illegal dumping or littering.
