Carlow U16 Camogie win the All-Ireland B Final against Down

Carlow 4-07 : Down 1-10

County Carlow U16 Camogie team won a hard fought battle against County Down to win the All-Ireland B final by 4-07 to 1-10. An amazing result for the Carlow girls to take home!

The Carlow County Camogie Facebook page had a few people to thank following the victory:

"As the dust settles on another fantastic day for Carlow Camogie, we wish to offer sincere thanks and appreciation to the following:-
- all the players who committed to the journey through to our first ever Leinster A Championship and to our first ever Under 16 B Cup Championship title.
- the team management of Anthony O'Brien, Davie Holden, John Joe Barrett, Tina Minogue, Agnes Doogue and Catriona Grennan. Some now in their 4th year with these girls.
- to all the players parents for their commitment of bringing players to trials, training, and games over the last 8 months and support in many other ways.
- all our clubs for their support and understanding in our desire to bring this All Ireland title to Carlow.
- to our main Sean Swan, Swans Electrical, for his unending willingness to support our players and provide as much as is possible.
- to Plazamount, Dan Morrissey Ltd, for their generosity during the past week to the team.
- Sika Ireland for their generosity.
- Caitriona & Celina from Byrnes, Glynn, for catering over the past number of weeks and ensuring the girls sat together to eat and bond as a group.

- and to those who made private donations to elements of the preparations towards our All-Ireland journey. Thank you!
- to Carlow GAA for the use of their facilities in Fenagh and Milford for training and matches.
- all GAA clubs who provided facilities for training and challenge matches during the winter months, especially Carlow Town HC.
- thanks to Billy in Fenagh and Joe in Milford for their help and genuine friendship to all.
- to Carlow LGFA for their cooperation and support all year and, most particularly, in assisting with moving fixtures in recent weeks to accommodate preparations. This was so much appreciated by all.
- and finally to all our fantastic supporters thank you for cheering us over the line. Your support was much appreciated."
