The St Laurence O'Toole's Relay Team managed to break the record and win the race for the 4x200m indoor Masters M35 race

Local Carlow athletics team beat 8 year old record winning Leinster title

A local Carlow athletics team from St Laurence O'Tooles athletics club in County Carlow have completed a very impressive feat of not only winning their Masters M35 Leinster Title but all breaking an 8-year old record.

The race category that team won in was the 4x200m indoor Master M35 category.

The team's blistering time of 1:38:01 consisted of David Hayde, Niall Murphy, Paul Broderick, and Keith Pollard.

All working exceptionally well together especially competing against three other team in the race. The team not only lead and won the race from the start gun they broke the record in the process. Given their recent individual running forms their championship goal of breaking the record was well insight.

Fair play to the team involved and everyone at St Laurence O'Tooles on their impressive accomplishment.
