'Carlow to Croker' countdown is on as people encouraged to support ladies GAA team

The “Carlow to Croker” countdown is underway, with the team being encouraged to “finish the fight.”

The Carlow Ladies LGFA team is inviting people to get behind the team ahead of their biggest game of the year.

“Bring your family, friends and clubmates, wear your green, red and yellow, and help create a sea of Carlow colours as we cheer the ladies on,” a post by the club on Facebook states.

On Sunday, people are being invited to watch an open training session, which will involve mobility, a warm-up, football, games, and conditioning.

That will take place from 9:20am - 10:35am.

From 10:30am, there will also be a coaching session by Hybrid Players Coaching Session, which will see PDP Coaches, County Coaches, and County Players.

This will be for U13 PDP Players, as well as any other girls or boys who would like to get involved.

At 11:45am, there will be an opportunity to get jerseys and posters signed, and to take some photos with the players and cups.

“Let's give the team the send-off they deserve as they prepare for Croke Park. Carlow to Croker: Finish the Fight,” the post on Facebook concludes.

Carlow beat Derry 4-7 to 1-7 to secure their spot in the All-Ireland Final, which gets underway in Croke Park on August 2nd.
