Carlow Town Community First Responders Group goes 'live' for emergency calls

This morning the Carlow Town Community First Responders Group went “Live”with the National Emergency Operations Centre for calls within their community. 

Cllr Will Paton said: "Wishing Carlow Town Community First Responder Group every success as they commence taking calls from 21.00 hours this evening (Friday 17th August 2018).

"Calls will be taken from 21.00 hours on Friday to 21.00 hours on Sunday for an initial period and as the groups confidence grows, the times will be expanded.

"Remember if you suspect someone is having a stroke, heart attack, cardiac arrest or is choking CALL 999 straight away."

Well done to all the volunteers involved.
